Many quilters have been collecting Japanese, African, Aboriginal or another special group of fabrics but find it difficult launch into using them.
In this class participants have fun designing and stitching a quilt that features these fabrics in a unique way. Irregular blocks featuring machine appliqué and fill in blocks of free cut shapes are joined by vertical or horizontal panels to create a spectacular ‘one of a kind’ quilt.
In a one day class, students will make a sample of each block and will be given instruction on how to complete the quilt. In a two day class, most students complete the top ready for quilting.
